Do you need to pay to tour Harpers ferry historical park
You have to pay $15.00 to park and preferably take the blue bus into Harper's Ferry because where you get into the historic area there is minimal parking, look for Park entrance. Off of route 340 also known as the William Wilson Parkway.
Other than the national park and casino what's there to do when we come to town the weekend of Sept 13-15 2019? Would love a good festival if any are going on. Also into theater, farmers markets, flea markets, GOOD food and any other recommendations
It's less than 30 minutes drive to historical sites like Antietam Battlefield and natural wonders like the Crystal Grottoes stalactite cave. Not to mention hiking and River rafting/ tubing.
Are dogs allowed at the park?
Only leashed dogs.

I'm not sure the shuttles are running. There is a website that shows what holidays they partake in.

I read some of the reviews on Yelp and felt I needed to write one. This was the only place open in Harper's Ferry when I was visiting. Some reviewers felt the waitress was rude. She is not. She is just direct. If you have skin so thin she offends you stay out of West Virginia and take your uppity self somewhere else.Now to the actual review. Food was great and reasonably priced. I ordered the american cheese steak and a flavored coffee. It was delicious. Harper's Ferry is beautiful.

The staff is overall rude and the owner demanded my group of 5 to leave because we were no longer eating (Mind you we are the only ones there, and no one else was waiting to sit). The service was slow, for just getting milk shakes and fries, and it was fairly expensive. I will not be coming back.

The restaurant decides how much you have to tip. In our case we had to tip above 20%. Very rude
